Grace
Grace. It’s accepting life’s victories with ease – and showing the same style when things get a little bit harder. Grace is making the extra effort, but making it look effortless. It’s runner’s legs moving through space and a stranger’s unexpected act of kindness. Grace is discipline and generosity, strength and trust. It is the art of living in the moment. Because true grace comes when you listen – and act – with your heart.

Spring Fling Fun!
We’ve had beautiful weather today here in NC…a cool breeze with blue skies! A great day for the annual Spring Fling event a local Community Church puts on.
Knowing the girls would want their faces painted, I decided to paint them before we left so we didn’t have to wait in a long line (plus, I wanted a chance to paint something). Here are a few pictures of the girls before we left.
We had free food (which is always a bonus), hunted Easter eggs, rode merry-go-rounds and bounced in a few houses. A good time was had by all!

New Snow - Yeah!
I know some people must laugh at me when I get all giddy about getting a couple inches of snow. I just love it when the flakes start falling! I think it is so beautiful when the snow is untouched after a snowfall! The girls love to play in it…and I have to admit that I like the sledding part also!
You see, being a Florida girl I haven’t seen much snow. Vacations were always about the sun and sand - not snow and skis!!! In fact, I did not even see snow until after college when I started traveling for work. (Try going to Buffalo, NY with no winter coat, gloves or hat! First stop off the plane was to the mall to get dressed!!!)
Even a little snow here in Apex, NC shuts down the city. I know it can be a pain and messy for a few days afterwards - but I think it is so worth it!
This was my car as I left work this evening (taken with my camera phone in the dark).

Live Life With Passion!
“Living on purpose requires us to find what we love fiercely, give it all we’ve got, and then pass it on, as if it were a torch, to those who follow.” ~ Dawna Markova
I get words of wisdom to sent to me each morning. I share the ones I like. Today’s words of wisdom really spoke to me. It’s an on-going pursuit for me to be happy and fulfilled…to truly love life to the fullest and embrace it. My personal motto is “Live the live you love; love the life you live”. It just isn’t always easy trying to figure out how to do that gracefully.
I struggle to focus on what I truly want to do when I grow up! I often find myself torn between so many things…things I like to do…things I want to do…things I have to do…some things are income producing; others not.
Life is so short and with each day that passes, it seems to speed up. I want to make the best of the time I have here on this earth - for me, my family, friends and others I don’t even know. It’s just hard for me to figure out the best way to accomplish all that. I guess that’s just part of the whole journey and process of living. I just hope that at the end of my days, I will have felt that I lived my life with purpose with no regrets.
I hope these words make you stop to think about your life and encourage you to live life with passion!
I wanted to post a photo with this blog; I glanced around the room to see what I could take a picture of and found the perfect thing! My daughter brought me a piece of cake (she knows I love cake)! Let it be a reminder to always “have your cake and eat it too!”
LIVE PASSIONATELY WITH PURPOSE & ALWAYS EAT YOUR CAKE!!!

Christal is Engaged!
She’s had a gloomy few years but now things are looking so much brighter for my BFF Christal. She got engaged Friday, January 29, 2010. His name is Kenny. He’s ok…well pretty darn cool because he let me in on the secret and proposal plans!!! (Thanks Kenny, you did score some serious points with me! LOL)
Between the two of them, they have six kids who truly do love one another. So hopefully by end of summer, these two families will become one!
I’m so thrilled because I haven’t seen Christal this happy in years! Congratulations Christal and Kenny! Wishing you all the best as you start your NEW LIVES TOGETHER!!! xoxoxo

Marbles Outing
My friend Aurora and I took the kids to Marbles Museum in Raleigh on Tuesday. It’s one of our normal hang outs and is a great indoor place to go when it is cold and rainy outside (like it has been for the last few days). She shared these pics of the kids having a jolly good time.

Snow People
It was a beautiful, cold & sunny day! The snow was still here, although it is starting to melt. It was easier to form today so we made snow people in our yard. The girls played with their beach sand toys, getting buckets of snow for Daddy so he could make the big snow lady; he and the girls went on a walk to get all the nature decorations (notice the pine straw hair - hence the snow “lady”). I made the little snow people with carrot noses and blueberry eyes - Macey was a big help in forming all the small heads. We had a really good time - but our fingers were frozen when we were done. We are anxious to see how long they are left standing. Oh Frosty…

Snow Day 2010
It started snowing here Friday evening and has not stopped yet. We took the kids to the hill by our community pool - seemed to be the hot spot in the neighborhood as there were so many kids enjoying the snow! It doesn’t snow here in Apex, NC often, but we sure do have fun when it does.
